Nice Evening, except for the soup.....

Ladies -

We had a very nice evening with Jean. It was great to catch up on old times and we had a nice visit. Don't know if the Red Door rates high on the list for Chinese restaurants, but Chrissy, Nola, Carey, Carolyn and Cindy enjoyed Jean's company.

Earlier, Tracy and Lisa Hendey saw Jean at Lunch at Pane (The Wilson trio was there too).

I think we wined and dined (or dined with lots of iced tea) Jean properly during her visit. She's on her way home now and we miss her already!

Jean is here and it is wonderful to see her!!

We will be gathering to have dinner with her Friday, May 1 at 7 pm at the Red Door. That is a chinese restaurant at Fort Washington and Friant Ave. (in the corner by the fountain). Nola has been there and recommended it because it has large round tables so we can all talk to Jean without getting stuck at the wrong end of a long table.

So far we have Cindy, Carey, Nola, Chrissy, Carolyn, Lisa Hendey, and Jean. Any others? Cindy is making reservations, so please call soon.

Jean is coming!!

Hooray, Jean is coming to town! Better than Santa Claus!

She will be here on Friday, May 1, and I was thinking we could all go to dinner. We'll talk tonight about where to go, but I thought it would be nice to RSVP to the blog.

Jean is a very good thing!

So, I'm here. I'm in Marshfield, Wisconsin, visiting our very good friend -- and always a good thing -- Jean, and her husband, Mark. Their home is lovely and they've shown us a very good time. I'm blessed to have been able to visit. I'll tell more later, but here's a few snapshots from our evening. By the way... I would have called, Mom, but no cell service! (Aaah, but I've hacked on to somebody's unsecured wireless network!)

On the way... the most awesome sight of sunflowers as far as the eyes could see. Breathtaking!

Did I mention that in the back yard is a river? And wildlife is everywhere. Jean said this morning she had wild turkeys in the back, and that deer always visit to sample her raspberries. If you look closely in this photo, you will see wildlife of another kind... Buddy, the pug, playing while Jean is being silly!

Tomorrow is breakfast before we head back to Chicago and the Stassens go to work. We had a lovely visit. I'm blessed to have been able to visit such good friends.
